A Day in NYC

I feel lucky to say that I am probably in the small minority of people in the world who have looked down at New York City from the roof of the American Museum of Natural History. That’s where we started our day of sightseeing in the Big Apple when I visited a couple of weekends ago. My college roommate, Paula, works there and gave Sarah and I a behind the scenes look at the museum – very cool! So I wanted to share some of my shots from our day out on the town.

Here’s what the city and Central Park looked like from the roof that day:

I loved these buildings in the image on the left – so many stories to be told through every window, I’m sure.

And of course we saw lots of dinosaurs and other collections of bones. This processing was an accident (I hit the wrong key as I was editing!) but I ended up liking the old school feel!

This whale was hanging from the ceiling! Amazing!

And then there was this guy who had a room all to himself!

Later in the day, we walked around Little Italy to check out the sites. We stopped to have some wine and our server, who I’ve dubbed Fabio, snapped a picture of the three of us. Good times.
