congrats and good luck, lindsay!

What I remember most about living with Lindsay in college is her creative way of studying. Going into a health profession, she had a whole new language to learn – and she was all about practicing every step of the way. My roommates and I were often her guinea pigs as she searched for the various bones, joints, or muscles on us in order to learn the myriad characteristics about each one. In preparation for a big exam, I distinctly remember Lindsay writing the names of the various body parts all over her own body with a ballpoint pen (come to think of it, I know I have a picture somewhere!). Note cards were glued to her hands and textbooks secured in her backpack at all times. She may have even closed down the library a time or two… So I knew this day was coming.

Lindsay has finally met her goal of becoming a physician’s assistant and she’s on her way to an emergency room in sunny North Carolina for a job! We will miss her here in Michigan but wish her (and her husband, Mike, of course!) all the best with her new job and home.

Last weekend, we had a surprise party for her in anticipation of her upcoming departure. Here are a few of the highlights with some of our college friends…
