Giselle & John | Engagement: Gallup Park, Ann Arbor

I tried not to get too excited when they first mentioned it just in case it didn’t happen. But Giselle and John totally meant it when they said they wanted to get in a kayak for their engagement session! I have suggested canoeing and kayaking to a few of my couples in the past so I was quite eager when these two brought it up first. I rode alongside them in a paddleboat and enjoyed playing paparazzi as they floated along the Huron River pointing out birds and fish. Actually, alongside is a little too strong of a word. It turns out a paddleboat is not the most efficient means of water transportation so Giselle and John mostly waited for me to catch up. But I think I can safely say a good time was had by all and I’m so excited to be there to capture their wedding day in just a few weeks. For now, I think I will be moving all engagement sessions to the water…

Giselle and John: Thank you both for being up to a little adventure! It was so nice to spend a Friday evening getting to know you both a little more and hearing some Italian grandma impersonations. I’m so looking forward to your wedding day!
