Happy Thanksgiving

Well, I’m a day late because I wanted to find some sort of perfect Thanksgiving-y picture to post with my “happy Thanksgiving” note but it seems I better just get to the point! I hope you are having a very happy Thanksgiving weekend filled with family and friends, enjoying some rest and, hopefully, enjoying some happens-only-once-a-year deliciousness. Somewhere earlier this week, I read something to the effect of, “I’d rather live my life giving thanks than be good at saying thank you.” I probably butchered that quote (sorry to whomever said it!) but I love what it means and wanted to share it here.

And, as I was searching through photos, this is the one I thought was most appropriate even though it’s not very autumnal or Thanksgiving-y. My friend, Michele, took this picture of me in the Smokies along the Appalachian Trail. It’s a place called Charlie’s Bunion which had an amazing view of the world around us. I’m pretty sure I was feeling very thankful here.

Happy Thanksgiving today and all of your days.
