My Best Friend

Get ready. I’m going to throw out one of those cliché statements. The kind where you, the reader, immediately start searching for the nearest red light on a Mac or for the X in the upper right corner on a PC because you can’t take the mush any longer. You ready? Good. ‘Cause I mean it.

Two years ago today, I married my best friend. Thirteen years ago on Friday, we started dating. Well, if that’s what you can call it when you’re in high school and your parents really won’t even let you see your boyfriend because he’s two years older than you and drives a really cool car, which, oh by the way, is the reason I thought he was so cool in the first place. Trust me, I’ve always been wise beyond my years.

I can’t even locate all of the words to tell you how lucky I feel that we are here, after all of these years, still having a great time together. I feel so lucky to have my best friend as my roommate as my husband. And so lucky to feel that I am loved. So, thank you, Eric for being my favorite friend and to our family and friends that have supported us along the way. Happy 2nd/13th anniversary!

Here’s a photo of Eric and I on our wedding day from our great photographer, Abby Rose. Thank you, Abby!
