My New Favorite Thing

Over the holidays, Eric and I went to Cook Forest State Park in Pennsylvania with our friends, Mike and Katie, and we rung in 2010 with some great outdoor adventures in the most perfect of winter weather imaginable. Picture 34 degrees, no wind, crisp and still mountain air, and enough snow to coat everything in the most perfect and picturesque way. Awesome! And on the most perfect of winter days imaginable, I tried cross-country skiing for the very first time and LOVED it! Everything from the old ski boots and skis we rented to Mike serving as my drill sergeant and forcing me to climb all..the..way..to..the..top of the fire tower at the top of our climb (fire towers might be my second biggest fear behind hypothermia!). I can’t wait to try this again!

Happy 2010 to you! May you find lots of new things to love.
