Young Family | Portraits

I pulled into a long driveway that led me a little deeper into the green woods and parked my car. All around me were trees, flowers and little hints of a home well loved. I introduced myself to Kris’s mom and I was immediately offered a glass of wine. And so that right there is the perfect recipe for a wonderful, relaxed family session…and for the barbecue the family had after the session.

Kris had reached out to me in May to plan a family session with each of his brothers as a gift for his mom for Mother’s Day. There were some photographs they wanted to recreate from their childhood and others – like the ones of his glowing sister-in-law who is expecting – that could only be captured fresh. New memories combined with a few old. Here are some of my favorites from our time:
